Manually importing references into your BiBTeX database can be tedious (and prone to make errors…). While you can download the BiBTeX code from the journal websites or other sites such as IDEAS, there are three four other useful ways to efficiently update your BiBTeX database

  1. Anystyle.io: just copy and paste references from other papers and get the BiBTeX code in return
  2. DOI to BiBTeX converter: use the DOI to generate references (see previous post here)
  3. Google Scholar to BiBTeX: export BiBTeX code from Google Scholar (see previous post here)
  4. Google Chrome extension
