Accessible presentations - workshop at DocEng’26 in Fribourg
In late August, Ulrike, Frank, and I attended DocEng’26 Conference in Fribourg, Switzerland. We ran a half-day workshop on creating accessible presentations. We started with the core ideas around accessibility and how they impact on PDFs, before moving to look at the particular challenges presented by presentations. We finished the sessions with discussions with the attendees about various open challenges, for example whether to represent frame structure in the tag structure.
The slides, general tagging examples and presentation examples are available online; most of the presentation-specific material was shown as ‘live demos’.
