Dear Reader,

Unfortunately, I have had very little time to write articles during the past few months. Therefore, I am looking for people interested in writing articles for texblog.org. I am not looking for an expert LaTeX user, but someone with a genuine interest in learning more about the language as well as writing about it. After all, this is an educational blog. Ideally, you regularly use LaTeX for your studies / work.

What I would expect:

  • Original articles on LaTeX-related topics
  • You would have to be willing to read package documentations, user forums as well as to try things out on your own
  • Articles would have to be written in a “scientific style”. That means the content should be in a clean and concise format, in your own words (no copy-pasting) and with links to external resources and
  • In most cases, articles contain text and some code examples
  • You can come up with your own topics that have not previously been covered on this site or I can suggest a topic
  • Most articles are fairly basic, but I am open if you would like to cover more advanced topics
  • Ideally, you would write articles regularly (weekly or monthly)
  • You have a very good command of English
  • Typically, it would take between 2 and 4 hours to write a thoroughly researched article, depending on its length and how familiar you are with the topic

What you can expect

  • Articles are published under your name
  • You can learn more about LaTeX and writing/publishing in general
  • I will provide feedback on articles (content / style)
  • You get visibility as well as community interaction/feedback. The level highly depends on the topic
  • For each articles published on texblog, I can pay a small compensation

If this sounds like something you are interested in, do get in touch by briefly telling me about yourself and stating your motivation to contribute to texblog.
